Contact Information

For over 60 years, the Zaffiro family of Channel Fish Processing has provided the freshest, highest quality North Atlantic fish to wholesalers everywhere. Channel Fish Co. began as a subsidiary to another company owned by the same family, before merging the two in 1984, becoming the first company on the eastern seaboard to process both fresh and frozen fish in the same location. As one of Boston’s most respected family-run companies, Channel Fish Processing Company has grown from its humble beginnings on the historic Boston fish pier, to a company that is global in scope.

Channel Fish Co. is BRC AA certified, including SILLIKER certification, for food safety, and has received a National Processing Agreement with USDA. They are also part of the Whole Grains Council and ACDA organizations in an effort to “help keep America healthy,” as well as Fish to Dish, FDA, and MSC and ASC to maintain sustainable sourcing and ensure the production of fresh and safe products. They purchase products daily from local boats and auctions, which are then cut fresh at their HACCP and USDA certified, state-of-the-art facility. Channel Fish Processing Company sources fresh from sea to plate to schools K-12 and higher education facilities, correctional facilities, wholesalers and restaurants, private label, and hospitals and senior living facilities.
