Dorr Lobster Company is a family run business which started in 1977. The business began with a single fisherman and expanded to include a state-of-the-art coldwater holding and packaging facility. The company's goal has always been to provide the freshest and most affordable product to consumers directly from the coastal waters of Maine. Their Grade-A lobsters are bought daily from local fishermen at their family-owned wharf, and delivered to customers within 24 hours. Each lobster is 100% traceable, individually hand inspected, graded, and packed with reusable gel packs to ensure the freshest quality. Working under Maine’s lobster fishing regulations and a member of the Maine Lobster Marketing Collaborative, Dorr Lobster Co. practices sustainable fishing to ensure long-term species conservation.
