Northeast Oceans (NEO) is a cooperative of fishermen and women who distribute an array of fresh and frozen finfish and shellfish products through the food hub Dole & Bailey.

Located in Woburn, Massachusetts, NEO was founded to form an efficient supply chain between local fishermen and the Northeast region’s premier chefs, coops, and retailers. The team at NEO works everyday to develop and promote local and regional systems throughout the Northeast Atlantic. They do so by working firsthand with fishermen and local businesses to reestablish the historic commerce fishing provided to the area. By reestablishing these links, NEO is enhancing the economic development of the communities they are a part of.

NEO is dedicated to sustainable and traceable seafood. Many of the wild-caught and farmed-raised shellfish and finfish products they carry are rated a Seafood Watch “Best Choice” or “Good Alternative.” In addition to carrying a large selection of Best Choice and Good Alternative-rated products, NEO conducts quarterly reviews of local, at-risk species. If a species is found to be at risk, NEO will adjust their seafood offerings accordingly. NEO also works to promote more abundant and less well-known local species in their seafood offerings.

Northeast Oceans works in close partnership and distributes its products through Dole & Bailey. Dole & Bailey is a local dock-to-table purveyor that services over 2,000 restaurants throughout New England and the Northeast Atlantic.
