SCO Marine Resources and Development is a non-profit started in 2014 by Travis Phillips as a subsidary of his church, House of David Ministries Inc. Their mission is to help Maryland fishermen find fair pricing for their catch both in local Maryland markets and across the country. They do this by helping fishers find buyers who are farther down the supply chain and willing to work with a higher-priced fish off the boat. By creating a relationship between waterment and consumers, SCO Marine Resources and Development is bettering the market pricing of Maryland blue crabs, striving to set a new standard for community interactions and affordable, sustainable seafood.
