Scottish Seas
✕Scottish Seas is an Aberdeen based cooperative of fishermen working together to bring the very best Scottish seafood to the world in a way that sustains their home communities and the seas they depend upon. Recognizing that towns and villages along the Scottish coastline have had an interdependent relationship with the sea for centuries, Scottish Seas fishermen use sustainable practices to ensure the continued health of the ocean and its inhabitants.
The cooperative members of Scottish Seas land a variety of North Atlantic species that include haddock, cod, saithe (Atlantic pollock), hake, monkfish, plaice, megrim, scallops, langoustines and more. Thanks to the fact that their member boats fish all waters around Scotland, Scottish Seas is able to offer fresh fish year round. Prioritizing sourcing from carefully managed stocks, many through international certifications; Scottish Seas holds Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certification for several of their products.
Working with processors, retailers and foodservice partners to develop customized co-branded products for specific markets, Scottish Seas fresh, frozen, and value-added products are available throughout the United Kingdom and the United States. As the first UK-based producer partner to work with FishWise, Scottish Seas is moving towards growing their customer base throughout North America.
