Wildfish Cannery
✕For over 30 years Wildfish Cannery has been operating a small, family owned micro-cannery and smokery in Klawock, Alaska. Working closely with local fishermen to preserve their best catch at its peak quality, Wildfish Cannery prides itself on being able to trace their canned salmon products directly back to the member of their community who caught it. In addition to their own product line, Wildfish Cannery offers their processing and smoking services to local sport fishermen and commercial fishing fleets alike.
Providing their customers with seasonably available salmon, Wildfish Cannery offers a rotating selection of products that includes everything from their original smoked king and coho salmon to value added teriyaki salmon. Purchasing their salmon locally, they begin by carving the salmon into thick pieces and gently smoking the meat with natural alder wood to preserve the firm texture and rich natural flavor of the salmon. After smoking, Wildfish Cannery employees thoughtfully hand-pack the salmon into cans, ensuring their customers quality cuts of meat from head to tail before cooking the fish to perfect doneness.
