Program Overview

Seafood Nutrition Partnership (SNP) is the leading 501(c)3 non-profit organization in the U.S. building awareness of the health and nutritional benefits of seafood. SNP is addressing the country’s public health crisis through education programs that inspire Americans to incorporate more sustainable seafood and omega-3s into their diets for improved health as per leading health organizations. Through their education and outreach efforts they aim to:

  • Build awareness about the essential nutritional benefits of eating seafood at least twice a week.

  • Help Americans gain the skills to select, order, and prepare fish and shellfish.

  • Inspire a healthier America by promoting a nutrient-rich diet that includes seafood.

SNP’s call-to-action for consumers is to take their pledge to eat #Seafood2xWk per the USDA HHS Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommendation. SNP aims to reduce the risk of heart disease, improve baby brain wellness and increase memory for seniors by educating Americans about the health benefits of sustainable seafood and building awareness of seafood’s essential nutritional value.
